The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced today, Wednesday, the killing of 9 members of the Syrian army forces in lightning attacks by ISIS in the Aleppo - Hama - Raqqa triangle, while it lost contact with a group of 12 members in the Syrian Badia whose fate remains unknown until now.
The observatory confirmed - in a statement - the continuing battles between the Syrian army forces and the terrorist organization (ISIS) in separate areas of the Syrian desert, leaving dozens of wounded and dead, despite the intense Russian raids on its areas.
Today, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that Russian warplanes launched more than 90 raids on the Syrian desert, coinciding with the deployment of the regime forces and the pro-Russian militants on the road between the cities of Deir Ezzor and Homs, to secure the road in front of commercial and civil convoys, while combing campaigns continued in multiple areas. The observatory stated that the death toll in the battles between the regime forces and ISIS in the west of the Euphrates, the Deir Ezzor desert, Raqqa, Homs and As-Suwayda during the period from March 24, 2019 until today, amounted to 1,352 deaths from the Syrian forces and the militias loyal to them, and at least two Russians were killed. During the same period, 764 ISIS militants were killed, during the attacks, shelling and targeting.
