The Arab coalition in Yemen said that it intercepted a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Saudi media quoted the coalition as saying that the Houthi militia tried to target a civilian object in the southern region.

The spokesman for the "Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen", Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that the joint coalition forces managed this evening (Friday) to intercept and destroy a "booby-trapped" drone launched by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia in a systematic and deliberate manner to target civilians. And civilian objects towards the southern region.

 

Brigadier General Al-Maliki explained that the Houthi terrorist militia's attempts to attack civilians and civilian objects in a deliberate and systematic manner constitute war crimes, stressing that the joint forces command of the coalition takes and implements the necessary operational measures to protect civilians and civilian objects in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
