A spokesperson for the Iraqi Presidency said that the media and social media pages circulated a fabricated statement attributed to the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, stating that Iraq is ready to sign a peace agreement with Israel in coordination with the Palestinians.
In a statement, the Iraqi presidency confirmed that what is being circulated is absolutely false, and that the statement is fabricated, calling on the media and bloggers to be accurate and credible and to take information from its official source, adding, "Circulating this news without scrutiny aims to offend and cause chaos, and for suspicious purposes."
